- Masters in Insular Ecology and Evolution from the University of the Azores.

- Degree in Biology and Geology (teaching) from the University of the Azores.

III – Work Experience:

- Member of the Board of SEDA - Sociedade para o Desenvolvimento Empresarial dos Açores, EPER, since March 2013.

- Deputy Director of the Executive Board of the Professional School of Capelas, in the field of education, for vocational training and qualification, from 2010 to 2013.

- Member elected of the Society of Biologists, and part of the organization of the I Congress of Biologists of the Azores.

- Education Advisor of the Executive Board of the Laranjeiras Secondary School, for three years. (2007 to 2009).

- Board Member of the Azores Arts Academy for 3 years (2003 to 2006).

- Started her career as a course instructor for Botany I and Botany II in the University of the Azores and, in 1996, she became a permanent secondary school teacher.

- Best senior student in the school year 1994/95 and obtained the Engenheiro Augusto Cavaco School Award.
